Obituary

HOLDEN-Robert E. Larkin, of 56 Boyden Road formerly of 22 Hudson Street, Worcester died Thursday, June 19th in Wachusett Extended Care after a long illness. He leaves his wife, Judy C. Clay; 3 sons, Robert E. Larkin, Jr. of Connecticut, James J. Cunningham of Worcester and Lee S. Cunningham of Worcester; a daughter, Helen T. Richard of Worcester; 2 brothers, James Larkin of Halfmoon, California and Lawrence Larkin of La Molinos, California; a sister, Karen Henault of Gusable; 7 grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. 2 sons, Gene Larkin and Michael Larkin predeceased him.

He was born in Brooklyn, New York the son of Edward and June (Nelson) Larkin and moved to Worcester county after serving in the Navy. Mr. Larkin worked as a foreman for Aronson Tire Co. for many years, retiring in 1989. Previously he had been a foreman for the Goodyear Tire Co. for many years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Holden. Mr. Larkin was an avid fisherman and dart player and enjoyed sports.

The funeral service will be Monday, June 23rd at 11:00 AM in O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue Worcester. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Sunday, June 22nd from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
