Obituary

WEBSTER-Charlotte M. (Sykes) Laycock, of Webster, died Monday, March 23rd in the Transitional Care Unit at Hubbard Regional Hospital. Her husband of 60 years, James D. Laycock, died in 1994. She leaves three daughters, Bryanne M. and her husband Raymond Looney, Jr. of Auburn, Susan A. and her husband Edward Lee of Waltham and Cathleen M. Laycock, with whom she lived; her brother, James Sykes of Worcester; seven grandchildren; two nieces; and three nephews. Her sister, Elsie Herman, predeceased her.
She was born in Colchester, VT, the daughter of Joseph Edward and Margaret (Ladue) Sykes. Mrs. Laycock was a graduate of the former High School of Commerce, Worcester. She was a member of St. Louis Church and a former member of the Women’s Guild at St. Peter’s Church, Worcester.
The funeral is Friday, March 27th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Louis Church, 14 Lake Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Thursday, March 26th from 3:00 until 6:00 PM in the funeral home. Donations in Mrs. Laycock’s memory may be made to St. Louis Church, 15 Lake Street, Webster, MA 01570, the VNA of Southern Worcester County, Inc., P.O.
