Albert E. Gardner, Jr., “Bud” , 79, of Farnum Pike died March 19, 2009 at Tampa General Hospital in Florida. He was the husband of the late Lorraine F. Gardner.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Mildred (Crammond) Gardner and Albert E. Gardner, Sr. of Warwick. He lived in Smithfield since 1955. Mr. Gardner was a general foreman for the Dept. of Defense Navy Seabees at Quonset until his retirement. He was a member of the Smithfield Lodge of Elks. He was a Navy Veteran of Korea.
He is survived by his twin daughters, Lori A. Redmond of North Kingstown and Lynn M. Breitenbach of Cumberland, four grandchildren, a brother Robert Gardner of Alabama and a sister Betty McDermott of Massachusetts and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to be held Friday at 8:30 am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery,Cranston. Visitation Thursday 4-7pm.
