Obituary

Kara Marie Carlson, 21 of Franklin died peacefully in her home on March 22 surrounded by her family following a long illness.
Born in Middletown, Connecticut on September 1, 1987 the daughter of Susan (Peragine) Carlson Nolan of Franklin and her father, Richard A. Carlson of Waltham, she was also the beloved step-daughter of Scott F. Nolan and step-daughter of Ani Carlson of Waltham.
Miss Carlson had lived in Franklin since she was three years of age.
She had attended the Parmenter Elementary School and Horace Mann Middle School.
Despite her health, Kara had been a girl scout and played softball. She loved to cook, tended to her angel garden and was passionate about music.
Miss Carlson had been on the Rosie O’Donnell Show and Emeril Live Show.
Miss Carlson is survived by her sisters, Kelly A. Ledoux of Randolph and Erin P. Bognanno of Bellingham. She was also the sister of the late Brian Carlson.
She is survived by her grandparents, William and Patricia Peragine of Wantagh, New York and Jean Carlson of Washington, New Hampshire. Earlier on Sunday her sister gave birth to Miss Carlson’s first nephew, Luca Richard Bognanno.
She also leaves many beloved friends and relatives.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, March 28 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin at 8:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 9:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
