Robert F. “Bob” Robillard Sr. of Newton Upper Falls formerly of Brighton died on Sat March 21, 2009 after a brief illness. He was 81.
Born in Boston he attended Charlestown High School and served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He was a cutter and burner for U.S. Steel for 37 years and worked at Temple Beth Avoda in Newton 18 years.
Loving husband of the late Catherine M. “Peggy” (King) Robillard, he is survived by his children Catherine Palmatier of Needham and Robert F. Jr. and Michael J. both of Newton Upper Falls, three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Barbara Maist of Hingham and John A. Robillard of E. Hartford CT. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
His Funeral will be from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave. NEEDHAM on Wed Mar 25 at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church, Newton Upper Falls, at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting will be in the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Interment with Military Honors will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in West Roxbury.
