Obituary

WEBSTER - Francis J. Horanzy, Sr., 76, received his calling home on Sunday, March 22, to reunite with his loving wife, Dorothy A. (Pekala) Horanzy, who died in 1995.

He leaves 3 sons, Francis J. Horanzy, Jr. and his wife Marylou of Worcester, Michael J. Horanzy and his wife Noreen of Thompson, CT, and Scott L. Horanzy and his wife Linda of Woodstock, CT; a daughter, Jane E. “Goldie” Horanzy of Webster; 3 grandchildren, Thomas, David and Michaela Horanzy; nephews and nieces.

He was born in Worcester, son of Victoria Horanzy, and lived in Webster most of his life. He resided in Sturbridge from 1992 to 2000.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

In 1990, Mr. Horanzy retired as an engineer in the boiler room at Cranston Print Works Company where he worked for 35 years. He was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica.

The funeral will be held Wednesday, March 25, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. Burial will be private. A calling period will be from 8:30 to 9:45 AM Wednesday, March 25, in the funeral home. Donations in his name may be made to Webster Manor Patient Activities Fund, 745 School Street, Webster, MA 0l570.
