Walter F. Wright, 85, of Salem, NH died Sat. March 21st at Windham Terrace in Windham, NH.
Walter was born and educated in Lawrence, MA graduating from Lawrence High School in 1941 and the Lowell Tech Institute, Lowell, MA. He served in the US Navy during WW II. Walter was the General Foreman for Bolta Products in Lawrence, MA for many years, then the Superintendent for Malden Mills in Lawrence, MA.
Walter was a member of St. Joseph Church and the Knights of Columbus Bishop Peterson Council #4442. He loved all sports especially the Red Sox and golf. Walter was a devoted husband, for 61 years, to his wife Evelyn, never leaving her side and holding her hand through her progressive disease. He was a humble man with a dry sense of humor and strong commitment to his faith, family and country. Walter was happiest when surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an easy going man, extremely contented with his life and the twinkle in his eyes brought joy to his family and friends. Everyone loved him and he was an inspiration to all those he touched.
Walter’s family offers their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Windham Terrace for the devotion, compassion and wonderful care given to their parents.
He was predeceased by his brothers James and Frank Wright.

Calling hours will be Tues. from 4-7 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. A Funeral Mass will be Wed. at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church in Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Salem.
