MANCHESTER, CT—Phyllis E. ( Everhart) Bertapelli 76, of Manchester, Connecticut died, Thursday March 12, at the home of her daughter in Franklin, surrounded by her family following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late LeRoy L. Bertapelli who died in 2004.
Born December 30, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois a daughter of the late Clyde and Ellen F. (Owens) Everhart, she had been residing in Manchester for the past two years and previously, had been living in Arizona and Rhode Island.
Educated in Oregon schools, Mrs. Bertapelli was a self employed artist and designer, who specialized in arts and crafts, and was also a gifted painter. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, spending time with her family and grandchildren.
An ardent sports fan, she enjoyed watching college football, the Boston Red Sox and the Arizona Diamondbacks.
She is survived by her children, Richard L. Bertapelli of Indiana, Anthony P. Bertapelli and his wife Jeanne of Arizona, Rachele M. Fallon and her husband Joe of Block Island, Rhode Island, Regina E. Harrington and her husband Jeff of Franklin, Victoria A. Kenyon and her husband Bruce of Ashaway, Rhode Island, Kathleen C. Weekes and her husband Kevin of Manchester, Connecticut, two brothers, William Everhart and George Everhart both of Kentucky, two sisters Ellen Arnold of North Carolina and Susie Everhart of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Also surviving are her grandchildren Jeannie Fallon, Crystal Bertapelli, Michael Bertapelli, Cari Bertapelli, Benjamin Kenyon, Joseph Kenyon, Eric Weekes, Andrew Weekes and Jason Weekes. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Richard E. Noyes and Michael P. Noyes.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass on Saturday March 28, at 11AM in Our Lady of Victory Parish 169B Main St. Ashaway, RI 02804.
Interment will be private.
