Mrs. Gina P. Rappoli, age 86, of Tewksbury formerly of Somerville, passed away March 19th at the Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell following a short illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas E. "Ackie" Rappoli. Born in Boston's North End, where she was raised and educated, she was the daughter of the late Natalie (Mucci) and Luigi Fiato.
Mrs. Rappoli was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished spending time with her family and especially looked forward to being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gina loved the holidays when the entire family would come together. She was a great cook and loved providing food for her family. Mrs. Rappoli was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the MA State Lottery. She also enjoyed taking the occasional trip to Foxwood Casino to try her luck.
In addition to her late husband and parents. Mrs. Rappoli is predeceased by her siblings, John and Dundee Fiato, Silene Irving, Phyllis Ferrioli, Alba Bucci, Ines Amodeo and Gilda Bono. She is survived by her children, Paul Rappoli of Stoughton and his former wife Jean, Richard Rappoli and his wife3 Elaine, James Rappoli and his wife Rosa, all of Wilmington. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Paul, Peter, Maria, Ryan, Mark, Lauren, David and Michelle. She is further survived by her loving great grandchildren, Reece, Dylan, and Nolan.
Mrs. Rappoli's funeral service will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Tuesday, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Dello Russo Funeral Home will be Monday from 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
