Tyler Wesley “Angel” Smith, 2, of Rebecca, died Thursday, March 19, at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.
Funeral services will be held 4 P.M., Saturday, March 21, 2009, at Rebecca Baptist Church with the Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Rebecca. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Friday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Tyler was born August 11, 2006 in Tifton to Wesley and Kimberly Smith of Rebecca. He lived in Ben Hill County most of his life and attended Rebecca Baptist Church. Tyler loved his singing frog, listening to music, sleeping, cuddling, riding four wheelers, riding in his wagon and fishing. He loved people and people loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was survived by his grandparents, Wayne & Gloria Smith of Rebecca and Jack & Sandra Smith of Fitzgerald; great grandparents, Polly Rogers of Rebecca and Evelyn Wilkerson of Fitzgerald as well as, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to any organization that helps children.
