Donald L. Ryan, 71 years of Brockton died Wednesday March 18, 2009 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center. He was the husband of Patricia (Morrison)Ryan. Born, raised and educated in Brockton,he was a son of the late Eldon and Mabel (Lendh) Ryan. During the Korean Conflict he served in the Air Force. Mr. Ryan had worked in the shipping and receiving dept. for the Howard Johnson Company for 18 years, and the maintenance dept. for Bradlees for 15 years, retiring 8 years ago. After his retirement Donald worked as a funeral assistant and driver for the Schlossberg-Solomon Memorial Chapel in Canton. He was a former member of the Elks Club, the Conte Club, current Vice President of Club National.
He is survived by his wife Patricia (Morrison) Ryan, his children, Todd J. Ryan of Halifax, Gale Schmidt of Kentucky and Stacie Porter of Florida, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Hope Davis, Raymond Ryan and Sylvia Fisher
