Patricia "Donna" (Montague) Chapman, a 40 year resident of Wakefield, died on Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was 66 years old.
Donna was born in Medford on December 1, 1942. She grew up in Medford where she attended Medford Public Schools and graduated from Medford High School in 1960. Donna has been a homemaker while caring for her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved the ocean and made many visits to the local beaches and loved to travel to the tropical islands.
Donna is the beloved wife and best friend of 41 years to William K. Chapman. She is the devoted mother of Nancy Brandano and her husband Stephen of North Reading, Patti Young and her husband John of Wakefield, Michael Chapman and his wife Kristine of Tewksbury, Chris Chapman and his wife Tammy and Robert Chapman and his wife Judi all of Florida. She is the loving Nana to Bryan, John, Juliana, Michael, Billy, Maci, Brady, Lyla, Nicholas, Scott, Steven, James and Sarah. She is the beloved sister of Eleanor Montague and Linda O'Neil both of New Hampshire.
Donna's Funeral will be held on Monday, March 23, 2009, at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main Street, Wakefield/Melrose line, followed by her Funeral Mass in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main Street, Wakefield, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, March 22, 2009, from 2 to 6 p.m. Burial will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
