Evelyn (Souza) De Cambra, age 84 of Somerset. Widow of Ernest De Cambra and daughter of the late Alvaro and Mary (Viveiros) Souza. Passed away March 19, 2009. Born in Fall River, she was a Somerset resident for 78 years, a member of St. Patrick Church, Somerset and a retired Floor Lady at Louis Hand.
She is survived by 2 children: Robert E. De Cambra of Oregon City OR and Deborah A. Diniz of Berkley, MA; grandsons Specialist Michael Diniz and Alan De Cambra and 7 other grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Alva, Alfred, and Elsie Souza, Vina Lavoie and Hilda Jermyn.
Her funeral will take place Wednesday with a Mass of Christian Burial in SS Margaret and Mary Chapel of the Catholic Memorial Home at 9:30 A.M.. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset. Calling hours Tuesday 4-6 P.M in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Catholic Memorial Home Alzheimer’s Unit, 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River, MA 02720. Arrangements are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St.
