Veronica A. (McNulty) Brassil, 67, of Attleboro formerly of Norton died on Monday March 16, 2009 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, R.I. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert L. Brassil.
Born in the Town of Kinvara, County Galway, Ireland she was a loving daughter of the late John and Mary (Rooney) McNulty.
Vera grew up and was educated in Ireland and as a teenager she and her brothers and sister journeyed to the United States where they first settled in Boston.
After marrying her husband the couple moved to Norton where she lived for over 30 years and raised her family. Mrs. Brassil had been employed at Northrop in Norwood for 20 years before retiring. She had made her home in Attleboro for over 3 years.
A lifelong devoted catholic, Vera loved spending time with her family and her granddaughter was the love of her life. When younger she enjoyed traveling and gardening. She held a special place in her heart for animals and will be missed by her faithful dog “Boots”.
She is survived by her devoted sons Robert J. Brassil and Sean C. Brassil both of Attleboro and her cherished granddaughter Sarah A. Brassil. She was the dear sister of the late John McNulty, Ambrose McNulty and Mary McNulty.
A private funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Church in Norton with burial to follow in Newton Cemetery, in Newton. Visiting hours have been omitted.
