WORCESTER____James F. Romeo, 53, of Worcester died Wednesday, March 11, 2009.
He leaves two sons, James F. Romeo, II of Webster and Anthony J. Romeo of Worcester; his mother, Eleanor Rutkiewicz of Worcester; three brothers, Robert A. Romeo and David E. Romeo both of Worcester and Donald Donovan of Millbury; a sister, Kathleen A. Romeo of Florida; four grandchildren Antonia, Victoria, Anthony and Bella and several nephews and nieces. His former wife, Wendy (Burbo) Romeo died in 2003. He was born in Worcester, his father was the late Anthony F. Romeo.
Mr. Romeo was a graduate of North High School. He was a cab driver and owned and operated his taxi cab for 25 years. James loved sports and history and enjoyed vacationing in the White Mountains. He was a member of St. John’s Church.
Calling hours are Thursday, March 19 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street. The funeral service will be held at 6:45 p.m. during the calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Church, 44 Temple St., Worcester, Ma., 01604.
