Bernice M. "Scotty" Scott, 79, of Salem, New Hampshire formerly of Methuen, Massachusetts, passed away on Sunday, March 15th, 2009 at the Greystone Farm Assisted Living in Salem, New Hampshire.
Bernice was born in Methuen, Massachusetts to the late Walter A. and Catherine (Moynihan) Scott. She was educated in the Corliss School, Central Grammar Junior High School and the Edward F. Searles High School class of 1947, all in Methuen, Massachusetts. She later received her B.S. in Education at the Lowell Teachers College, a 1951 graduate. She received her Masters in Education at the Calvin Coolidge in Boston, Massachusetts, a 1953 Graduate. Bernice went on to teach at the Corliss School for 29 years and the Ashford School for 10 years upon her retirement.
She was a member of the Methuen Retiree's Association, Alumni Association of University of Mass., and Retired Educators Association of Massachusetts. She was a member of the retired State, County and Municipal Employees Association, also the Mass. Teachers Association and National Education Association. Bernice was a member of the Methuen Senior Center and was an attendant of Saint Monica's Church in Methuen, MA.
Bernice Especially enjoyed spending time at the Beach with her family.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 19th, 2009 at 12:00 Noon in Saint Monica's Church in Methuen, MA.
Burial will take place at a later date.
