In Taunton, March 15, 2009 Mary died after a period of failing health at the age of 91. Daughter of the late Antone & Luzia Loretto formerly of Raynham. She was the wife of the late John Azevedo and then wife of Clair Heal. Mary was the mother of the late James Azevedo Sr., Sister of the late Sadie Azevedo, her survivors include her brother Antonio Loretto Jr. of Raynham, nephew Francis Azevedo of Berkley, neice Barbara Mariorenzi of Raynham. She leaves her four grandchildren James & Anthony Azevedo of Taunton, Keith Azevedo of King, N.C. and Austin Azevedo of Sarasota, FL. Mary worked as a nurse for the Taunton State Hospital and Paul Dever State School. She was best known for being a hard working, loving & giving mother, grand mother and great grandmother. She loved spending time with her friends Shirley Hebert and the late Ann Rannacher. Mary enjoyed crocheting and knitting. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 18th at 10am. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton.
