Malvina (Gabriel) David, 81, of New Bedford died Monday March 16, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of the late John J. David.
Born in Ehmej, Lebanon, the daughter of the late Raphael and Sheila (Saad) Gabriel, she lived in New Bedford for the past 56 years.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Purgatory Church.
Survivors include three children, Joann David, Lorraine David, and Anthony David and his wife Judith, all of New Bedford; a granddaughter, Jordan Hope David; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Joseph J. David, and sister of the late George, Anthony, Joseph, Boutros, and Marian Gabriel, and Nada Khoury.
The Divine Liturgy will be celebrated Friday at 10 AM at Our Lady of Purgatory Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
