Albin A. Sielis, 89, of 42 Greenville Street died Sunday, March 15 in the Life Care Center of Auburn after an illness.
His wife Leona A. (Antell) Sielis died in 1977. He leaves a son James A. Sielis and his wife Anne of Spencer, a daughter Susan A. Spaulding and her husband Roy of Webster, two grandchildren Ryan & Kelly Sielis of Spencer and several nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by three brothers William, Joseph & John "Jack" Sielis.
Mr. Sielis was born in Leicester son of William and Eva (Bacinkus) Sielis, Sr.. He was an auto body repairman at Edward Buick in Worcester for 52 years retiring in 1997. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during WW II in the Pacific Theater. He graduated from Leicester High School. He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church.
The funeral will be held Thursday, March 19 from J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church Street, Spencer. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours are Wednesday, from 5:00-7:00 PM.
