Mr. Harold F. Schindelwig, of Taunton, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 14 at his
residence. He was the husband of Janet M. (Richmond) Schindelwig. He was born 81
years ago in Taunton, the son of the late Adolf and Louise (Daley) Schindelwig. He was
educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to his retirement, he had
been employed as a toolmaker for several area companies. He was a U.S. Navy veteran
of World War II, having served on the USS Wilkes-Barre. He was a member of the
American Legion Post 103 of Taunton. Mr. Schindelwig enjoyed riding his bicycle
throughout Taunton, visiting Cape Cod and Battleship Cove in Fall River, and was a fine
collector of treasures.

He was also the brother of the late Kenneth Schindelwig of Somerset.
A Graveside Service will be held in the V.A. National Cemetery, Bourne, on Friday,
March 20 at 1:00 P.M. The procession will leave from The Riendeau-
Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton at 11:30 A.M. Relatives
and friends are invited to attend.The family will share fellowship and refreshments with those attending Friday, at the Polish American Citizens Club, 314 Bay Street, Taunton, from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. Visiting Hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 19 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
