James “Jim” Casey, of Plymouth, passed away on March 13th at the age of 95 at home. He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara (Loveland) of Plymouth, his daughters Julia A. Barnard of Worcester and Barbara Howard of Weatherfield, VT and his son Bryan Carritte. He also leaves his sister Mary Casey Stohn of Duxbury and his 4 grandchildren Richard and Sarah Barnard and Trina and Marcie Howard. Grandfather of the late Carl Howard. James graduated from Rivers Country Day School and worked as an oil terminal manager for 41 years in Chelsea. He served in the U.S Army during WWII fighting in the Battle of Hurtgen Forest and received the bronze star. He was a member of the DAV, enjoyed sailing, the ocean, horses and especially his classic cars. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday March 17th at St.Peter’s Church in Plymouth at 10 AM. There are no visiting hours and burial is private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
