Genevieve "Jeannie" (Broderick) Stump, a resident of Charlestown for 9 years and formerly of Chicago, Illinois, died on Thursday, March 12, 2009. She was 89 years old.
Jeannie was born in Chicago, Illinois, on October 24, 1919. She grew up in Chicago where she attended grade and high school. Jeannie has been a homemaker for many years.
Jeannie is the beloved wife of the late George Stump. She is the devoted mother of George G. Stump and his wife Elizabeth of Charlestown. She is the loving grandmother of Scott (Duke) Stump and his wife Molly of Brentwood, New Hampshire, Shayne O'Brien and her husband Sean of Charlestown and her 4 great-grandaughters; Piper and Sydney Stump and Quinlan and Reagan O'Brien.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Jeannie's life on Monday, March 16, 2009, from 4 to 7 p.m. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown. Cremation took place on Saturday, March 14, 2009.
