Anita (Guinard) Ralyea, 81, of Franklin, died Thursday, March 12, 2009, at Caritas Norwood Hospital, following a long illness. She was the wife of Albert C. Ralyea for 61 years.
Born in Franklin, September 6, 1927, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Alice (Fraser) Guinard, she was a lifelong town resident.
She was educated in Franklin schools, and until her retirement worked as a stitcher for the former Whiting & Davis Co., in Plainville for over 22 years.
Mrs. Ralyea enjoyed bowling, and was a member of the women’s bowling league at Ficco’s Bowladrome.
Surviving in addition to her Husband are 2 daughters: Paula Guay and Bonnie Ralyea of Franklin; 3 brothers: Walter and Richard Guinard of Franklin, and Ralph of Florida; 3 sisters: Winifred Derosier of North Attleboro, Joan Fox of Florida, and Patricia Barney of Plainville; and 4 grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late: Leo, Milton and Wilfred Guinard Jr., Shirley Clerc, Lillian Neef, and Phyllis Szypowski.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday at 12 noon in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, www.franklinfuneral.com. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at the Mass. National Cemetery in Bourne.
