Donaldson, Barbara Ann- of Winchester, MA, March 10, 2009, age 45, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved daughter of Delia Donaldson of Narragansett, RI, and Robert Donaldson of Winchester, MA. Oldest of eight siblings. Barbara leaves her beloved sisters and brothers-in-laws: Susan and Jeffrey Novins of Wellesley, MA, Kathleen and Thomas Callahan of Winchester, MA, Linda and Uljen Abazaj of Boston, MA; her beloved brothers and sisters-in-laws: Stephen and Gina Donaldson of Belmont, MA, Robert and Susan Donaldson of Belmont, MA, Michael and Robin Donaldson of Woburn, MA and her beloved brother Matthew Donaldson and his fiancée Elizabeth Pierce of Woburn, MA. Doting aunt to her nieces and nephews: Anna, Kelsey, Carissa, Madeline, and Lilah Donaldson; Olivia and Alexander Novins, Christopher and Isabelle Callahan. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles: Dr. and Mrs. Judith Perreault, Dr. Vincent DiCola, Ms. Joan DiCola and Mrs Ethel Kuhn. Also survived by many cousins. Barbara was devoted to her family. She was greatly loved and will be missed dearly. She brought light and joy into the life of every person she encountered with her kindness, compassion, and gentleness. Barbara worked for over 20 years in the electronics industry, as an engineer. She attended and finished with a B.S.E.E. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1986. She was inducted into Eta Kappa Nu in 1984. Barbara pursued advanced degrees part-time, while working full-time. She obtained her M.S.E.E. from Northeastern University in 1991, and an M.B.A. from Northeastern University in 1997. The family gratefully acknowledges the loving support of family and friends. We would also like to extend our appreciation to the fine doctors, surgeons and staff at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Funeral from the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester on Sat. March 14th at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church 155 Washington St., Winchester at 10AM. Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Friday from 4-8PM. Interment St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket, RI.
