WORCESTER- Mr. Raymond R. Reno, 82, formerly of 28 Puritan Ave. passed away Tuesday March 10th at the Christopher House surrounded by his family.
Ray is survived by two sisters, Anna B. Rocco of Worcester, Rita E. Maruca of Springfield; three brothers, Frank A. Reno and his wife Carmella, Robert S. Reno and his wife Lucia all of Worcester; Joseph A. Reno and his wife Veronica of Shrewsbury; one brother in law, Anthony Falcone of Worcester; dear friends, John and Kathy Bianchi of Worcester; also many dearly loved nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was the brother to the late Mary R. Reno, Carmela R. Bafaro, Emily D. Falcone, and Pauline Reno.
Born November 29, 1926 in Worcester, Massachusetts the son of the late Santo N. and Rose R. (Scola) Reno.
A lifelong resident of Worcester, Ray was a graduate of North High School. He served his country during World War II for the United States Coast Guard in the Pacific Theatre.
Upon his return, he worked for Wyman – Gordon for forty years up until his retirement in 1992. Ray was a member of The Knights of Columbus-Pope John XXIII Council. He was a 3rd and 4th Degree member. He was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church and Men’s Club, the YMCA, and the Disabled American Veterans.
Raymond was a devoted brother, uncle and friend to his family and friends.
His funeral will be held Saturday March 14th from FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St. Worcester, with a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Loreto Church Worcester, at 10:30am. Interment to follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are on Friday, March 13th, from 4 to 7pm. The Knights of Columbus –Pope John XXIII Council will have a ritual at 6:30pm.
