Obituary

LEICESTER____Phyllis G. (Healey) Richards, 71, of 1073 Main St., died Tuesday June 3 in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center, 20 Worcester Center Blvd., Worcester.

Her husband of 42 years, Arthur L. Richards died in 2000.

She leaves a son, Anthony P. Richards of Spencer; four daughters, Ruthann Fancy of West Boylston; Kathleen M. Racine and Mary L. Johnson both of Lancaster and Angela J. Valinski of Worcester; fifteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and nephews and nieces. A sister, Patricia Russell of Clinton died before her. She was born in Burlington, Vermont, daughter of Percy and Alberta Healey and later lived in Lancaster and Hubbardston before moving to Leicester last year.

Mrs. Richards was a quality control inspector several years for the Nypro Company, Clinton and retired six years ago.She was graduated from Clinton High School.

Mrs. Richards was a member of the Church of Christ, Lancaster. She was a volunteer for the Leicester Senior Center and was a Meals on Wheels program volunteer. She was an avid Country & Western fan.

A Gathering of friends will be held on Monday June 9 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Dirsa-Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton St., Worcester. A service will be held during the gathering.Burial will be private in St. Johns Cemetery, Lancaster.
