In Taunton, March 8 2009 Dorothy E. (Guglielmo) McGann wife of the late William J. McGann, died peacefully at her home on Kilmer Avenue in Taunton at the age of 85. Born in Taunton, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Thomas and Rose Marie (Papazoni) Guglielmo. She was a graduate of Taunton High School class of 1941 and earned her bachelors degree from Bridgewater State College in 1976. Dorothy was employed at Bridgewater State College for thirty seven years, and retired as the Assistant to the President. She was a member of St Andrew the Apostle Church (St. Joseph Church) in Taunton and the Sons of Italy. Dorothy was the mother of Elizabeth A. Ziroli and her husband Clemente of Norton and William J. McGann and his wife Sandra Whelan of Raynham. Grandmother of Matthew and Angela McGann both of Raynham. Sister of Theresa Cassulo of Taunton, Henry Guglielmo of Taunton and Thomas Guglielmo of Rehoboth. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Wednesday March 11th at 10 am. Funeral Mass at St Andrew the Apostle Church (St. Pauls) in Taunton at 11 am. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 pm. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
