Mary D. (Costa) Moitoza, wife of the late Albert G. Moitoza, died at Morton Hospital on March 5, 2009.
She was 88.
Residing at the Life Care Center of Raynham for the past 5 years, she was a Taunton resident for most of her life.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary M. (Rogers) Costa.
Educated in Taunton schools, she was a 1939 graduate of Taunton High School.
A retired customer service representative, Mrs. Moitoza was employed by the former BayBank for many years.
A communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church, and past president of both the Taunton Catholic Women’s Club, and the former Our Lady of Lourdes Women’s Guild, she was the recipient of the Fall River Diocese Marian Medal.
She was the also a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Holy Ghost Society, and the Weir Seniors.
She loved playing cards and Bingo.
She is survived by her close friend, Anne Franco; her nephews, Robert A. Moitoza, Sr., Robert A. Moitoza, Jr., Peter G. Moitoza and Paul G. Moitoza, all of Taunton; and many close friends and family.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Tuesday, March 10th at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of the Lord Church at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
