Marguerite Ragland, 94, of Ravenel, widow of Earl Victor Ragland died Friday, March 6, 2009 at Twin Oaks Villa Assisted Living, Charleston.
A graveside funeral service will be held at Christ St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Mrs. Ragland was born April 1, 1914 in Montgomery, Alabama, daughter of the late John Fuller Sharp and Lillian Portwood Sharp. She was a graduate of Montgomery Schools in Alabama. She was a homemaker and of the protestant faith.
Surviving are:
2 sons: John Neil Ragland of Ravenel and William Kent Ragland of
Cottageville
2 grandchildren: Kirk Bradley Ragland of Charleston and
Vickie John Phillips of Charleston
2 great grandchildren: Matthew John Phillips of Charleston and
Chelsea McKay Phillips of Charleston
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband and her grandson: Mark Wellington Ragland
