Francis Anthony Devlin, Jr.
August 15, 1935 – March 4, 2009
Frank Devlin of Pine Hills, Plymouth, MA passed away peacefully in his sleep in the comforts of his home Wednesday morning, March 4, 2009. Frank lost his life to cancer, though he battled Parkinson’s Disease for twelve years.
Frank loved to golf, read, travel, talk, play cards, tease out a wager or investment, enjoy time with his family, and cherish his wife of 47 years. Nothing pleased Frank more than to “make a plan, and execute on that plan,” be it for himself, or others he cared about. Frank was born in Medford, MA, attended Somerville schools, earned an associates degree at Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology, and went on to participate in management studies at Harvard University. Frank worked for H. B. Fuller Company for 30 years, retiring from Fuller in 1996 as the President of the Palatine, IL based subsidiary TEC Incorporated.
Frank and his wife Kay retired to Harwich Port on Cape Cod, and moved off Cape to Plymouth in 2004. Frank is survived by his wife Kay (Catherine Rosicky), son Frank and his wife Julie of Hudson, NH, son Mark and his wife Maura of Longmeadow, MA, daughter Katie and her husband Troy Bremer of Dana Point, CA, and son Sean and his wife Jenny of Orland Park, IL. Frank cherished the time spent with his nine grandchildren.
He will be missed for his intensity, integrity, engaged listening, unparalleled people skills, and his fight.
We love you Frank/Dad/Pa.
