Violette H. (Stevens) Morse, 90, of Westport passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River. She was wife of the late Nathaniel Morse, Sr.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Arthur and Clara (Janson) Stevens, she had lived in Westport for over 50 years. Prior to retirement, she was a friendly visitor for the Town of Westport. Mrs. Morse was a member of the Westport Council on Aging.
Survivors include 4 sons: Nathaniel Morse, Jr. of Westport, David S. Morse of Westport, Kenneth A. Morse of Fall River and Andrew W. Morse of Westport; 2 daughters: Kathleen Carvalho of New Bedford and Dale M. Mongeon of Somerset; 16 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was mother of the late Ruth Ann Russell and Richard Morse and sister of the late Jeannette Depin, Loretta Depin, Lilly Cote, Leo Stevens, M. Flora Healy, Pauline Cleary and Elsie Pettine.
Celebration of Life to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the Potter Funeral Home at 12:00 P.M.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. prior to service.
Cremation to follow.
