Ralph R. “Junior” Costa, Jr., 59 of North Reading, died Monday after a long illness.
Born in Boston, he lived in North Reading for the past 20 years and formerly of Medford and the North End of Boston. He was the son of the late Carmela (Porrovecchio) and Ralph R. Costa Sr. Ralph was a Machinist at Polaroid in Waltham for 26 years and retired in 2000. He later worked at Raytheon in Woburn for a year. Mr. Costa was a member of the Wakefield Lodge of Elks #1276. A Member and Past President of the St. Joseph Society-North End of Boston. Junior was an avid golfer, loved to cook, enjoyed family gatherings, music he always had a smile on his face and was a Happy Go Lucky guy.
Beloved husband of Susan (Budrick) Costa. Devoted father of Nicole Costa of North Reading, Damian Costa and his wife Erin of Norwood. Loving grandfather of Mia Costa. Brother of Paula Costa of Tewksbury.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Theresa Of Lisieux, 63 Winter St., North Reading, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with entombment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
