Regina W. (White) McCarthy of Needham died on Monday March 2nd at her home. She was 86 years old. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late John and Mabel (Tobin) White. Mrs. McCarthy was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy Class of 1940 and Lasell College Class of 1942. She had lived in Needham for the last 3 ½ years. Prior to Needham, Mrs. McCarthy lived in Newton for over 50 years. She was a member of the Guild of the Infant Savior and the Newton Women’s Club. Mrs. McCarthy enjoyed reading, travelling and dining out. The beloved wife of the late William Edward McCarthy, she was the loving mother of Ellen Marie Bravo and her husband Ron of Mendham, NJ, Jane Marie Boyle and her husband Brian of Natick and Connie Marie Stevens of Medfield and the dear grandmother of Amanda Leigh, William Edward, Bud, Molly Elizabeth and Victoria Jane Stevens and Sean Brian Boyle. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Friday, March 6 at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at 10AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Newton Cemetery.
