METHUEN – Henry A. Lagree 75 passed away peacefully on March 2, 2009 at Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence, MA
Henry was born in Churubusco, New York on July 16, 1933. He and his wife Helen A. (Bow) Lagree were married on August 2nd 1952 and lived in Malone, NY before moving to Methuen 46 years ago. He was educated in Churubusco, NY schools.
Henry had been employed by General Tire, Nevins Nursing Home and Malden Mills. He also spent numerous hours before work and on weekends cutting down trees, splitting the wood and delivering to customers needing firewood. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends and was an avid deer hunter which he enjoyed doing with his brothers. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel prior to its closing.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Lawrence General Hospital 5th floor for their special care he received and would also like to thank Merrimack Valley Hospice for making his last days comfortable.
He was the widower of Helen A. (Bow) Lagree and is survived by his three daughters Linda M. Caracoglia of Salem, NH, Barbara A. Lahey and Al Klenner of Lawrence, MA and Lisa M. Gagnon and her husband Glenn of Methuen, MA.
Sisters Mary Forrette, Martha Guay , Agnes Forretta.
Brothers George, Paul, Edgar, Francis, Harold and William Lagree.
Grandchildren Tammy, Ronald and Robert Caracoglia, Michael Lahey, Caroline (Lahey) Blouin and Ryan Gagnon.
8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: in lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice 360 Merrimack Street BLDG 9 Lawrence, MA 01843. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 5:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Hone, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11;00a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/St. Augustine Chapel 128 Ames St. in Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, MA.
