WEBSTER/WORCESTER – Rose M. (Polissack) Marshall, age 89, of Webster, formerly of Worcester, died Monday, March 2, in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.
She leaves her husband of 53 years, Frank A. Marshall; a stepson, Terrence T. Marshall and his wife Wendy A. of Webster, with whom she lived; 2 grandsons, Frank A. Marshall and Jeffrey J. Marshall; 10 great grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Lily Polissack of Webster and Ethel Casey of Shrewsbury; nieces and nephews.
She was born in Worcester, one of the 7 children of Walter and Mary (Szaperkiewicz) Polissack, and was raised in Cherry Valley. She lived in Worcester for over 50 years before moving to Webster in 2007. She was a graduate of Commerce High School in Worcester.
She was a World War II navy veteran. She was a member of the Ray Stone Post of the American Legion in Shrewsbury.
Mrs. Marshall worked as an accountant at Memorial Hospital in Worcester for many years before she retired. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, bowling and sewing.
The family would like to thank both Family Services of Worcester and the VNA Care Network and Hospice for their tender care and concern for Mrs. Marshall.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, March 7, in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Mass. Chapter, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
