Elizabeth A. ''Bette'' Flaherty, 83 of Woburn, died Tuesday at home. Born in Woburn, and a lifelong resident, she was the daughter of the late James and the late Annie (McDonough) Cogan. Mrs. Flaherty married the late Albert A. Flaherty, that passed away earlier this year.
She is survived by two sons, Paul A. Flaherty and his wife Kathleen of Lexington and Peter M. Flaherty and his wife Eleanor of S. Amboy, NJ. Also survived by five grandchildren, Peter Flaherty Jr., David Flaherty, Paul Flaherty Jr., Elizabeth Flaherty and Danny Flaherty. She was also predeceased by four sisters, Mary O'Neil, Gertrude Coakley, Helen Kelley, Ann Flaherty and six brothers, William, Paul, Henry, Charles, Harold, and Herbert “Hub” Cogan.
Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Friday at 9AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 100 Washington St. Woburn at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
