Obituary

February 25, 2009 a former BFI employee, and long time Brighton resident, spent the last decade in Chatham, a quaint seaside village on Cape Cod with his wife, Helga and son Chris. He is remembered for his passion in mentoring young baseball players, both in Brighton and on the Cape and vividly wore sports on his sleeve.

Paul excelled in every sport throughout high school and achieved notable claim in football. Paul later attended Cardinal Cushing and Boston State College. Adventures took Paul to many lifestyles and vocations. His early on involvement with The Home for Little Wanderers enriched the many he came in contact with.

Paul is well remembered for his compelling convictions. He read avidly and sought truth in people. His quick wit and hearty sense of humor will be missed by all.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Mary Sullivan of Brighton. Beside his wife and son, he leaves his brother, Gerald Sullivan and his wife Joan of North Andover, his uncle, John Sullivan and his wife Patricia of Boston, and in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins of Kansas, Ohio, North Carolina, Massachusetts and of course, Ireland, where his beloved father was born.

Friends may call at long time family servicer, Lehman and Reen Funeral Home, 63 Chestnut Hill Ave(Nr. Brighton Courthouse) BRIGHTON on Tuesday, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. at St. Columbkille Parish, 321 Market St., Brighton. Burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Roxbury.
