TAUNTON – Angelina (Luis) Dutra DaRosa, wife of the late Eduino V. DaRosa, died at Marian Manor on Feb. 28, 2009.
She was 88.
Born on the island of Fayal, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Maria (Dutra DaRosa) Garcia Luis.
Educated in Portugal, she moved to this area in 1969.
Employed as a tailor for Marian Manor, she retired in 1982 after working there for over 18 years.
Mrs. DaRosa was a communicant of St. Anthony Church.
She will be remembered as an adoring mother and grandmother, who enjoyed her family and loved to laugh.
She leaves a son, Helder H. DaRosa and his wife, Alberta of Taunton; a daughter, Fatima Gomes of Taunton; 2 brothers, Joao Garcia DaRosa of San Francisco, and Manuel Dutra Garcia of Taunton; 2 sisters, Maria Moitoso of Fayal, Azores and Filomena Andrade of Taunton; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Alda DePina, and the sister of the late Jose Garcia, Francisco Garcia DaRosa, and Antonio Garcia Luis.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Wednesday, March 4th at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 9 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
