Michael J. Lordan Sr., 47 and of Plainville, died Thursday Feb. 26 of an apparent heart attack while working in Connecticut. He is the loving husband of Kristy (McGaffigan) Lordan, to whom he was married for almost 22 years.
Born in Boston, he was the son of Daniel F. "Bud" and Helen (Ballem) Lordan of Humarock. He grew up in Canton and graduated from Blue Hills Regional Technical High School, Class of 1979.
He was an electrician and had worked for 20 years for Consolidated Electric in Norwood, until transferring to Professional Electric Contractors of Norwood in 2008.
Mr. Lordan had lived in Stoughton and Milton, Vt. prior to moving to Plainville 16 years ago.
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by his four sons: Sean, Matthew, Mike Jr. and Christopher; his four brothers: Dan and his wife, Barbara Lordan of Marshfield, Bob Lordan of Randolph, Tom and his wife, Donna of Cranford, N.J., Rick and his wife, Kathy of Cohasset; his sister, Jean Hay and her husband, Ken of Weymouth; his brother-in-law, Don McGaffigan of Boston; his sister-in-law, Terri McGaffigan of Orange County, Calif; and eight nieces and four nephews. He was also the son-in-law of Ronald McGaffigan and his wife, Patricia of Houston, Texas, and Sandra Kirby and her husband, Jim of Little River, S.C.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Martha's Church, South St. (Route 1A) Plainville on Wednesday, March 4 at 10 a.m. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin.
