Paul Eugene Brown, 77, of Ladson, widower of Joan Mary Kutsor Brown died Friday, February 27, 2009 at Summerville Medical Center.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 2, 2009 at 3 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville with military honors.
Inurnment will be held at a later date at Dorchester Memory Gardens Mausoleum, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 until 8 o’clock this evening.

Mr. Brown was born February 5, 1932 in Ravenscroft, Tennessee, a son of the late William Tapley Brown and Nora Edith Myers Brown. He attended schools in Tennessee. He was a 27 year veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the Vietnam War and during the Korean Conflict. After he retired from the Air Force as a flight engineer he worked at Cummins Engine. He was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association and the VFW Ladson Post #3433.
Surviving are:
3 sons: Rodney Brown and his wife Debbie of Seneca, SC, Rick Brown and his wife Donata of Ruther Glen, Va and Tom Brown and his wife Delsey of Gastonia, NC.
1 daughter: Paula Somers and her husband Michael of Ladson.
8 grandchildren: Chad Brown and his wife Sarah of Marietta, Georgia, Josh Brown of Greenville, SC, Richard Brown, Jr. of Montgomery, AL, Valerie Brown of Kingsland, GA, Molly Brown of Gastonia, NC, Clifton Paul and his wife Jamie of Columbus, Mississippi, Shaun Somers serving in Afghanistan and Kirstin Somers of Ladson.
2 great grandchildren: Kendall Brown of Kingsland, GA and Aubreigh Somers of Columbus, Mississippi.
2 brothers: Bobby Brown of Fort Oglethorpe, GA and Bill Brown of Chattanooga, TN
1 sister: Zelma Hughes of Augusta, GA
