Obituary

James E. “Jimbo” Hennessey, of Brockton, died February 25, 2009 at his home. Born and raised in Brockton, son of the late Thomas L. and Sarah V. (Tierney) Hennessy. He was a graduate of Coyle High School and St. Bonaventure College and served in the US Navy during World War II. He had been employed as a Criminal Investigator with the Plymouth County Sheriffs Department for 20 years and had a private practice in Brockton for many years. He was a longtime member of the Brockton YMCA and the Hanson Rod and Gun Club. Jimbo was known for giving everyone a nickname. He is survived by his nephews and nieces; Patrick, Michael, Caitlin and Meagan and great nieces; Molly, Maggie, Maura, Mia and Maeve and sister in law Mary K. Hennessey. He was the brother of the late Kathleen T. and Patricia V. Hennessy and John J. Hennessey.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 8am. Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
