Obituary

R. Florence (Hanson) Lundquist, 77, of 9 Ashwood Road, Paxton, died Wednesday, May 28, in the University of Massachusetts Medical Center/Memorial Campus. Her husband of 44 years, Donald T. Lundquist, died in 1994. She leaves a son, Barry E. Lundquist, of Falmouth, Maine; a sister, Linda Holland, of Sunland, Ca; a granddaughter, Felecia Lundquist, of Amherst; 2 grandsons, John Lundquist and Sam Lundquist of Falmouth, Maine. A daughter, Donna Lundquist-Keegan, died Feb. 4, 2003.

Mrs. Lundquist was born in Worcester, daughter of Hans R. and Ruth A. (Wik) Hanson, and resided in Paxton since1958. She was a graduate of Commerce High School and attended classes at The New England Conservatory of Music. She sang soprano with the Worcester Light Opera.

Mrs.Lundquist was a member of the First Congregational Church of Paxton, a member and past president of the Paxton Women’s Club, a member of Nashoba Valley Chapter of the Historical Society of Early American Decoration; she was a past president of the Paxton Center School PTO and a Lifetime member of The Tuesday Girls.

She was an accomplished artist and was admitted to the prestigous Historical Society of Early American Decoration. She was an avid gardener, bird watcher and loved her 3 cats and all animals.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday 2:00 pm in the First Congregational Church of Paxton, 1 Church Street Paxton. Private Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Mooreland Cemetery, Paxton.Calling Hours will be Friday 11:00am to 1:00pm in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the First Congregational Church of Paxton 1 Church Street, Paxton or the American Lung Association 1 Abbey Lane, Middleboro, Mass. 02346.
