Of Brookline, February 13, 2009. Age 71. Born in Philadelphia, the son of Clinton F. and Mabelle Ann (Johnston) Llewellyn.
Dr. Llewellyn attended the University of Houston and University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, receiving an MD in 1962. As a pilot, he followed his medical internship at the US Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, VA with a tour of duty as a Naval Flight Surgeon assigned to the North Atlantic aircraft carrier fleet based in Quonset, RI. From 1967-1970, Dr. Llewellyn completed his Residency in Radiology at Mallinckrodt Institute, Washington University, St. Louis, MO, remaining at the University during 1971 as an Instructor before returning to RI and private practice later that year. From 1974 until his retirement in April, 2008, Dr. Llewellyn was a Radiologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School, Boston.
He is survived by his nephew, Stephen J. Pringle (Treena R.) of BC, Canada; his grand niece, Kendall Blue of NJ; his step-daughter, Holly Cavanaugh of HI; his step-son Guy Horton of CA; and he was predeceased by his ex-wife Paige E. Llewellyn.
