Dorothy P. (Morton) Sturtevant, 92 years of Brockton died Monday, February 23, 2009 at her home. She was the wife of the late Ralph A. Sturtevant. She was born in Brockton and a lifelong resident, a daughter of the late James and Hanora (Creeden) Morton. She was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1934 and Brockton Business School. She was a foster parent of many children in the Brockton area. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Veterans. Mrs. Sturtevant enjoyed playing bingo at the Senior Center and was a golfer at Pine Valley in W. Bridgewater and was also an avid sports fan. She loved gardening and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her two sons, James M. Sturtevant and his wife Diane of Chandler, Arizona and Charles E. Sturtevant and his wife Teresa of Hanson, three grandchildren, Kerri Cox, Douglas and Callie Sturtevant and three great grandchildren, Evan and Averi Sturtevant and Troy Cox.
Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 10am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday 3-7pm.
