Obituary


Mr. William N. Beaulieu, Sr., of Taunton, died Tuesday, February 24, in Morton
Hospital following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Althea M (Currid).
Beaulieu. He was born 81 years ago in Taunton, the son of the late Edward J. and
Alice (Martin) Beaulieu. He was educated in Taunton and was a lifelong city
resident. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed in security at the former G.T.E.
in Tauntonn for 5 ½ years. He had previously been employed as a Patrolman for the
City of Taunton Police Department for 29 years. Mr. Beaulieu had formerly been em-
ployed as a truck driver for Fisher-Pierce of Rockland for 4 years. He was a U.S. Navy
veteran of World War II, having served with the Sea-Bees, 7th Battalion in the Asiatic-
Pacific Theatre. He was a Life Member of the David F. Adams Post 611 Veterans of
Foreign Wars. He was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a communi- cant of St. Jude the Apostle Church.
He leaves:
2 sons: William N. Beaulieu, Jr. and his wife, Kathleen of Taunton
Bruce E. Beaulieu of Middleboro
1 daughter: Denise Beaulieu of Taunton
7 grandchildren
8 great grandchildren
several nieces and nephews
Mr. Beaulieu was also the brother of the late Edward J. Beaulieu, Jr. of Taunton.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street,
on Friday, February 27 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, from 5:00 to
8:00 P.M.
