Obituary

Phyllis Edna Sullivan Nigrelli, age 84, of Mystic and Cape Coral FL, passed away Monday, February 23, 2009 in Cape Coral FL. She was the wife of Felice Nigrelli.

She was born August 29, 1924 in Norwich, the daughter of Michael Joseph and Irene (Horne) Sullivan.
Phyllis was raised in Pawcatuck and graduated from St. Michael School and Stonington High School. She worked with her husband for many years in the family businesses and was also a devoted homemaker.


She was a communcant of St. Patrick Church in Mystic and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Pawcatuck. In her spare time, Phyllis loved growing and caring for her rosebushes which always surrounded her home. She was also an avid Red Sox fan.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, John and Michael Komorowski, Christine Wolfenbarger and David Nigrelli; her grandchildren Jill Fayan, Julie Norval, Amy Charles, Kevin Komorowski, Marie Komorowski, Matthew Komorowski, Jim Nigrelli, Cass Wolfenbarger and Britney Nigrelli; her great grandchildren Emma and Andrew Norval, Alexander and Zachary Fayan, and Chelsea and Lincoln Charles and her brother Donald Sullivan. She was predeceased by children Rosemarie Nigrelli and Paul Komorowski and granddaughter Cheryl Komorowski.

Phyllis' family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Sunday from 2-4pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, Mystic on Monday at 11am with Fr. Brian Romanowski, Pastor, celebrating. Following the Mass, her casket will be entombed in the Nigrelli family mausoleum at St. Patrick Cemetery, Old Mystic.
