Elaine Griffin, 72, of Lake Wales, Florida, formerly of Woonsocket, died February 15th at home. She was the wife of the late Francis L. Griffin who died in 1998.
Born in Newton, MA., she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Ascenta (Medugno) Yarossi. She was raised in Newton and resided in Woonsocket for many years before moving to Florida three years ago. Mrs. Griffin was a homemaker.
She is survived by four sons, Scott Griffin, of Glendale, Robert Griffin, of FL., and Daniel Griffin, of Smithfield, and Francis Griffin, five daughters, Linda Marcheterre, Gail Taylor, Diane Griffin, Billie Jo Stevens, all of FL., and Debra Priest, of Woonsocket. She is also survived by 37 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, several siblings, nieces and nephews.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10:00 am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are omitted.
