Obituary

WEBSTER - Olga W. (Kretowicz) Pendrak, 92, of Whitcomb Street, died Monday, February 23, in Lanessa Extended Care. Her husband, Maximilian “Max” Pendrak, died in 1978.

She leaves nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Fernanda “Fanny” Borski, Helen Stawasz, Frances Nowacki and Stasia Kaczynski, and by 3 brothers, Charles, Felix and Theodore Kretowicz.

She was born in Webster on June 26, 1916, the youngest daughter of Peter and Sophie (Mozdzierz) Kretowicz. She lived in Webster for most of her life. She also lived in East Longmeadow for 8 years.

Mrs. Pendrak was a stitcher at Bates Shoe Company and at Headway Shoe Factory many years ago. She was a homemaker and took special pleasure in cooking and baking weekly Sunday dinners for the members of her family.

She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica and its Sacred Heart Society.

The family would like to thank the caregivers from Tri-State Homecare for their compasssion and concern for Mrs. Pendrak during her illness.

The funeral will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, February 26, in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. There are no calling hours. Donations in her name may be made to the Friends of St. Joseph School Fund, 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster, MA 01570. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street.
