In Wakefield, February 21, 2009 Mildred A. (Williams) Bishop wife of the late Russell P. Bishop, died at Wakefield Health Care center at the age of 94. Born and educated in Taunton, Mildred was the daughter of the late Michael A. and Lizzie (Bain) Williams. She resided in Wakefield and was formerly of Kilmer Ave in Taunton. Mildred retired in 1977 from Morton Hospital as a LPN then went on to work at Wedgemere Nursing Home in Taunton. Mildred was a member of the Morton Hospital Retirees and St. Joseph Women’s Guild. Mildred was the mother of Beverly M. Darwin of Weymouth, Russell P. Bishop Jr. and his wife Barbara of Falmouth and Robert Bishop and his wife Sandra of Virginia. Grandmother of Thirteen Grandchildren and Twenty Eight Great Grandchildren. Sister of Nita Hall of Delaware and the late Jack, George, Frederick, Everett, Harold, Joseph and Frank Williams, Annie Magee, Margaret Gorman, Lena Wheeler, Elizabeth Carpenter and Mary Williams. Aunt of several Nieces and Nephews. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Thursday February 26th at 10 am. Funeral Mass at St. Andrew the Apostle (St. Paul’s Church) at 11 am. Calling hours will be on Wed from 5-7 pm. Interment St Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
