Kenneth A. Poole, 57, of Derry, NH, died Monday, February 23, 2009 in his home. Ken was born in Lynn, MA on December 11, 1951, a son of the William and Barbara (Pike) Poole . He was a resident of Derry for the past 11 years, formerly living in Stoneham, MA. Ken was a graduate of Lynnfield High School, Class of 1969, and had been employed as an automotive technician for York Ford in Saugus, MA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a NASCAR fan. Ken enjoyed baseball and football and had been involved with the Stoneham Little League while living in Stoneham.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Carole L. (Sawyer) Poole of Derry; two stepsons, Roger Sawyer of Saugus, and Jason Conrad of Derry; two grandchildren, Christian and Madison, his mother-in-law, Christine Sawyer of Beverly, MA; three brothers, Stephen Poole and his wife Cindy of Spencer, MA, John Poole of Spencer, and Douglas Poole of Spring Hill, FL; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Following cremation, a calling hour was held on Saturday, February 28th from 10 - 11:00am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A memorial service followed at 11:00am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Amedisys Hospice Services, 1E Commons Dr., Unit 33, Londonderry, NH 03053.
